Over the years at Garden First we have had the experience of building various decks from 4 square meters to 60 square meters, on ground level, raised and terraced. Our approach is always the same, we use 4�x2� tanalised timber for the frame work which is screwed together. The frame is then bolted to the 4�x4� legs with coach bolts and a weed control membrane covers all exposed ground underneath. Flagstones are placed under the legs so that the timber does not rot, then we board the top, using 5� or 6� Finn Forrest decking which, as with Rolawn turf over the years we have realized is second to none. The boards are screwed down with green plated screws then edging strips are fitted the perimeter.



As with our decking, be- spoke pergolas are planned taking care to ensure they blend in with the surrounding features in your garden. They may double up as a play area for the children or are simply somewhere to sit and read the paper a combination of quality products and high standards of workmanship delivers the perfect result.
